On February 5, 2021, G-Eazy dropped his new single “Provide,” along with the music video. The song features R&B Singer Chris Brown, and samples Mark Morrison‘s 1996 hit “Return of the Mack.” Anyone that grew up in the 90’s would be jamming to this track right away. Great job by G-Eazy and Chris Brown. “Return of the Mack” peaked at #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100–can Chris and G-Eazy take those song to the highs of the original?–The industry may not be ready for this throwback vibe quite yet. This is not the first Christ Brown and G-Eazy have teamed up. In April of 2016, Chris Brown and Tory Lanez were features on G-Eazy’s song “Drifting.” This was the third single from G-Eazy’s When It’s Dark Out album, and peaked a #98 on Billboard’s Hot 100. G-Eazy was also a feature on Chris Brown’s 2019 single “Wobble Up,” which also featured Nicki Minaj.
Other Spotify Top 200 Debuts includes Jeremy Zucker and Chelsea Cutler with “emily” at #75–with 326,552 streams, and Dan + Shay with Glad You Exist at #26. David Guetta also released a new song; “Floating Through Space,” which features vocals from Sia. The song debut at #106 with 285,205 plays.
This one is is not a Feb 6 chart debut; however, it shoots up the chart… Moneybagg Yo’s “Time Today,” moves up 134 spots to #58. The song is also Top 5 on Apple music.
